Wedding Album Design

The latest wedding album design is now ready, this was a fantastic wedding at Great Hallingbury Manor Hotel. There were so many wonderful moments to capture during the day so the album is quite big, 32 double-page spreads in its current form.

Portrait Shoot

Hi all,

I Recently did a portrait shoot for a young couple celebrating their first anniversary together. I have just finished editing them and will be publishing shortly.

Day Centre Shoot

I spent Tuesday afternoon at a day care centre photographing the staff and the service users there. The centre will be closing down soon and they wanted to get some photographs for a commemorative book.

My girlfriend works there so it was good to see the place and the people she works with. I wasn't really sure what to expect but it was a fun job, the staff were happy to cooperate (apart from a couple of shy ones :p) and the service users were very friendly.

This is an example of the commercial photography work I do. There's a set charge for a half day or full day which includes the photography and post-processing. The client receives high resolution copies of the edited images on disk along with the rights to use them in various media.

Album Update

The Sim2000 wedding albums that had some problems have now been corrected and collected. Nice to see they were able to sort out the problem quickly. The A5 parent albums look really good now.

Photo Editing

Currently editing the photographs from the wedding on Saturday. Going well, the main edit is now complete just some finishing touches to make. Then I'll be preparing them for the web and designing the album.

Beautiful wedding in Essex

Hi all,

Yesterday I covered a great wedding in Essex. Having woken up to a miserable wet morning in Watford I wasn't too optimistic about things but as I drove over towards Bishop Stortford the weather cleared. It was chilly but luckily dry all day. In fact because it was slightly overcast the light was nice and soft and easy to shoot with.

The couple were lovely to work for, the bride's was beautiful and her hair was amazing - kind of a classic Hollywood style (at least that's what it made me think of). Some really cute kids there too including one young chap that was very eager to pose for the camera.

Popped into the bridal suite to do some fashion type shots with the bride. It was a large room and very nicely decorated. I'll be working on the photographs shortly and will share them with you as soon as possible.

Albums from Sim2000

Just went to pick up some wedding albums from Sim2000. Luckily they are just a few miles away from me and I always like to pick them up in person so that I can check them. Actually it's one of the main reasons I use them. Although I really wish they would check these things themselves, at least they seem to fix the problems fairly quickly.

Today there was a problem with the A5 copies but the main album was great, the client opted for the brushed metal finish and it looks nice. Oh and it's heavy too!

Hopefully the A5 copies will be redone by next week. Also got the free mini-books they've been doing. I'll give some to the client as a bonus and keep some as samples.
